First of all, we used two shades of one color to paint our walls. This was the main technique, however we decided to use some creative techniques to paint some of our rooms. We painted the walls of our room into dark shade of one color and then we took plastic bags, dipped  one side of these bags in lighter paint and than applied it to the wall.

Some people recommend to use feathers to create unique pattern on your walls. The only thing you should do is to dip tips of feathers in paint and then use it as a pencil. You can draw anything you want and if you are not satisfied with the result, you can always repaint it so do not worry about it. Just remember to paint bottom of your walls in darker colors and top of your walls in lighter colors. This will make your room look cozier and lighter. Just paint your wall into a dark shade first and then, when it dries, apply lighter paint on your walls.

If you do not like the result, do not worry since you can always repaint any area of your wall. Do it again and again and you will be satisfied with the result. If you use wallpapers you cannot redo anything, but if you prefer wall painting, you can redo as much as you wish.

To sum up I would like to add, that if you think that these wall painting ideas are very difficult, you are wrong. You know, my wife, me, and my 7 year old son managed to repaint our walls in a matter of hours and the result was great. So, do not worry. Just do it.
